Simple White Gravy

2 tablespoons drippings, from meat you are cooking
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups whole milk (2% works fine)
salt and pepper

Add flour to drippings and cook until light brown and smooth. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste.

This is a very versatile gravy base. It can be played with so that it suites whatever meal your eating.
